However, developer Jean-Baptiste Halle announced at the Six Invitational 2020 that only one new operator would be introduced each season after the third season of Year 5. In most of the seasons, the downloadable content has introduced a new map or a rework of an existing one and at least two new operators to play. There have been 29 seasons in eight years of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege in the form of downloadable content.
